If you build data-centric applications with Delphi, there is a good chance your data access layer has a name: FireDAC, or one of the Devart data access components. With MARS-Curiosity 2.0 all of them lead to a REST server. Next to FireDAC, MARS now covers the Devart family: UniDAC, supported since 2019, is joined by […]
MARS-Curiosity 1.8 is out. Less than two weeks after 1.7.1, it brings a new way to install the library, takes the MCP support introduced in 1.7 one step further, and closes a long-standing gap in JWT handling. It also does some spring cleaning: Delphi 10.4 Sydney is now the minimum supported version. If you are […]
One week after MARS 1.7, here is 1.7.1: a small maintenance release that adds support for the newest Delphi and fixes three issues reported right after 1.7 shipped. Thanks to everyone who upgraded quickly and sent feedback. Delphi 13.2 support Embarcadero has just released Delphi 13.2 Florence and MARS supports it out of the box: […]
A year after 1.6, MARS-Curiosity 1.7 is out. It is the largest release in a long time: more than 225 commits, a brand new documentation site, several new demos and one headline feature that I am particularly excited about — native MCP server support, which lets AI agents such as Claude or ChatGPT discover and […]
In the previous post I introduced MCP support in MARS-Curiosity: expose Delphi methods and FireDAC data as tools that AI agents like Claude can discover and call, secured by roles and OAuth 2.1. Tools are the headline feature of MCP — but the protocol defines two more capabilities, and MARS now implements the full triad. […]
If you have been watching the AI agent space, you have probably come across MCP — the Model Context Protocol, the open standard that lets AI agents like Claude, ChatGPT and locally-run models discover and call tools exposed by a server. Hundreds of MCP servers already exist for filesystems, GitHub, databases, SaaS products of every […]
MARS-Curiosity keeps evolving, and this round of updates touches two very different areas: observability — with structured request/response logging designed for the Grafana stack — and AI-assisted development, with official Agent Skills that teach AI coding assistants how to build MARS servers properly. Request/response logging for Loki and Grafana If you run REST servers in […]
One of the most frequent request I got over the years about my REST library for Embarcadero Delphi is to provide a proper documentation to the library. To mantain and to develop the library has always represented a pleasure but also quite time-consuming task. Unfortunately, I’ve always privileged adding features and improvements to the library […]
What’s new Since last release (v.1.6.3, April 2026) I’ve added a number of new functionalities to MARS and I also tried to build a few demos around them. Apart from this, a few critical bugs and issues have been addressed in this release. Let’s have a look at the most important changes. Bug fixing some […]
This week Embarcadero released KAI, a new product/plugin that adds agentic AI integration within the Delphi IDE. I recorded a short video (2 min) using KAI (+Copilot+GPT5.4) to prompt for a MARS-related task and the result is satisfying: the AI produced good code (using most of advanced MARS features about database access, record type handling, […]
